A Brockton man was injured Saturday morning when the box truck he was driving veered off Interstate 93 in New Hampshire and “launched” into a cluster of trees, according to officials.

New Hampshire State Police said 21-year-old Anilton Resende Barros suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. near Exit 23 in New Hampton.

Troopers responded to the scene and found a 2012 yellow Hino 258/268 up in the trees in the highway median, State Police said in a statement . According to police, a preliminary investigation determined Resende Barros was heading northbound “when, for reasons that remain under investigation, he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.”
