Eight new members have been appointed to join the board of directors of the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts (BOPA), the independent agency that serves as the Arts Council of Baltimore City and provides staff support for Baltimore’s Public Art Commission.
Seven of the new members were appointed by Mayor Brandon Scott and were confirmed by BOPA’s board on Tuesday. One has been appointed by City Council President Zeke Cohen and is expected to be confirmed next month.
The new board members come from a variety of different fields, including communications, law, finance, housing, workforce development, civic engagement and the arts.
