Two of Florida’s leading conservatives are teaming up on an effort to memorialize one of the lions of the right, who was assassinated last week.
Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Jimmy Patronis seek to make Oct. 14 a National Day of Remembrance to honor Charlie Kirk , who was slain when speaking to students in Utah at a university.
Scott, who was a weekly guest on Kirk’s television show in recent months, envisions the day as one where “to come together, pray, and celebrate Charlie’s impact on the nation.”
The day is no coincidence.
Had Kirk lived as he should have, he would have been 32 that day.
