A woman was arrested in connection to a fire at an apartment complex in Issaquah that left one dead, police said.
Firefighters responded to a fire alarm and a sprinkler activation before 8 a.m. Tuesday at a unit at an apartment complex near the 300 block of Shangri-La Way Northwest.
They entered the unit then exited right away and called law enforcement, said Issaquah police Chief Paula Schwan. One person was dead inside and the fire had been contained to the unit.
It is “likely that more than just fire was the cause of death,” Schwan said. The woman was arrested at the complex.
