(NewsNation) — An actor who’s appeared in the “Resident Evil” video game series has been charged with attempted homicide on Friday after a road rage incident.
Authorities said Ernest Wesley Heinz, 48, reportedly cut off a woman on the road while she attempted to merge at red light, according to The New York Post.
In court documents obtained by WPVI, the woman, who police identified as Maritza Arias-Galva, told the police that when she arrived at the red light, Heinz cursed at her, threatened to kill her, pulled out a gun and shot her.
She reportedly had an injury to her nose.
"Fortunately, it didn't look like it caught anything major, and she was able to maintain consciousness and speak to our officers. We're very grateful she's okay," Capt. Mark D'Esposito of the Galloway Twp. Police
