Malcolm-Jamal Warner ‘s mother is speaking out.

Pamela Warner appeared on Good Morning America , where she addressed her son’s drowning on July 21 during a Costa Rican trip at the age of 54.

During the appearance, she revealed more details about the The Cosby Show actor’s trip to Costa Rica.

“His wife and daughter had been in Costa Rica three weeks prior. She is homeschooled, and this was part of an immersion program,” his mom explained.

One of the things that was reported at the time was that his 8-year-old daughter was with him when he drowned, which she says is untrue.

“She was not in the water. He was with another gentleman,” Pamela said.
