QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

Highs will hold in the upper 80s to around 90 through Thursday before a cool down arrives. Much needed rain chances will return late Thursday night into early Friday. More rain is possible later in the weekend.

Wednesday looks mainly dry with rain chances primarily just to our west. Highs will hit the upper 80s to near 90 with mostly sunny skies.

Thursday will bring a mix of clouds and sun with highs around 90. Late Thursday night we could see a chance for some thunderstorms arriving from the west. As rain chances continue Friday we’ll see a cool day with highs near 80. Saturday highs might be a bit warmer getting into the low to mid 80s if we don’t see any rain.
