Shocking video shows an acrobat plummeting to the ground in front of horrified spectators during a daring midair circus performance.

Aliane Dias was performing a routine in which she’s suspended in the air by just her hair when she came loose during Saturday night’s show in Miracema, northeast of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, according to Jam Press.

Heart-stopping video shows Dias in a pink dress as she was hoisted up to twirl in the air — before she crashed into the stage below with a horrible thud as the audience screamed in horror. 3

Paramedics rushed to help her before she was carried out on a stretcher.

The circus, Circo Robatiny, said the next day that the acrobat “was quickly rescued” and taken for “prompt and effective care.”
