BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho family has filed a tort claim against the Boise School District and Boise High School asserting that both the district and school failed to “create a safe learning environment” by allowing “at least one biological male student to use the girls’ restroom” in February 2025.

The claimants were identified as "A.C." and her parents.

Senate Bill 1100, which requires students to use restrooms aligning with their biological sex, was signed into law by Idaho Gov. Brad Little in 2023. The law was introduced and drafted by the Idaho Family Policy Center (IFPC).
