It appears Sam Konstas is not ready to hand back his Test spot just yet, clattering an unbeaten 101 in a session on the opening day of Australia A's four-day clash with India A at the Ekjana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
His century, compiled with another young gun in Campbell Kellaway (88), took Australia A to a daunting 0-198 at tea, after the first session was washed out.
There was a mini-collapse as the Australians lost 4-26 in 10 overs after the break, but Cooper Connolly (70) and Liam Scott (47*) got them back on track to finish 5-337 at stumps.
With scores of 3, 5, 25, 0, 17 and 0 against the West Indies , Konstas was sent to the subcontinent to find runs and confidence.
