A U.S. district judge in Washington D.C. has ruled against conservation groups suing the Federal Aviation Administration over what the plaintiffs claimed was the FAA’s inadequate analysis of environmental impacts in grant permission for expanded Starship operations at Boca Chica/Starbase.

The national and local environmental organizations filing the lawsuit include the American Bird Conservancy, Center for Biological Diversity, Save RGV, and the Surfrider Foundation, who accused the FAA of “failing to fully analyze and mitigate the environmental harms resulting from the SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy launch program at Boca Chica.”
