SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- Sun Prairie West will have its second acting principal this school year.

On Sept, 4. the school named associate principal Ed Ford as the new acting principal. The district did not give further details on the status of Principal Jennifer Ploeger.

The school district said during Ploeger's absence, Peg Shoemaker will take the role as acting principal. Shoemaker previously spent 40 years as a K-12 education, having retired in June 2025 after serving as the principal of Middleton High School for six years. Ford will return to his role of associate principal.
