OTTAWA COUNTY, MI -- A 50-year-old Byron Center man was seriously injured after two trucks collided at an intersection near Hudsonville, sending both vehicles into a house.

The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 40th Avenue and Riley Street.

Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said a Chevrolet Avalanche was going north on 40th Avenue when it collided with a Chevrolet pickup going east on Riley Street.

The pickup was pulling a utility trailer, police said. Traffic on Riley Street has the right-of-way, while 40th Avenue traffic has a stop sign at the intersection.

After the collision, both vehicles went off the road and into a nearby house. The house had minor damage, police said.
