A 63-year-old woman walking around the Lower East Side of Manhattan Tuesday was struck by a stray bullet as a pair of gunmen targeted a 21-year-old man, police sources said.
The woman was walking at about 2:30 p.m. near East Broadway and Clinton St. when gunshots rang out and she was hit once in the right foot.
The gunmen were aiming at a 21-year-old man, who was the intended target. He was shot in the right leg, according to police sources.
One of the suspects was wearing a green hoodie, and the other suspect was wearing a tan hoodie. They both took off south on Clinton St. and were still on the loose.
EMS transported the stray-bullet victim and the 21-year-old to Bellevue Hospital, where they were in stable condition.
