EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — "Multiple Choice" is a documentary that tells the story of a school district that's taking a unique approach to education, and the film's world premiere is in Newport this week.

Ted Dintersmith is the documentarian behind the film who has been examining education in the United States for around a decade.

Dintersmith joined 12 News at 4 to share more about the project and how lessons from the film could be applicable in Rhode Island.

The film's premiere will be in Bazarsky Lecture Hall at Salve Regina University at 7 p.m. on Thursday. You can learn more about the documentary and the event here.
