TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - For the 44th year in a row, the Leon County Government and the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) are recognizing the county’s “outstanding neighborhoods and neighbors” in their Annual Neighborhood Recognition Program.
The Avondale Neighborhood Association won Small Neighborhood of the Year for its “electronic newsletters, real-time alerts, and organizing beautification workdays,” among other accomplishments, per the county.
Meanwhile, the Killearn Homeowners Association won Large Neighborhood of the Year for their work hosting community events, restoring a community lake and creating a new dog park, according to the county press release.
