MONROE, La. (KNOE) - St. Francis Medical Center has officially opened a new convention center and auditorium.
It will house new medical educational programs and an auditorium.
The St. Francis President said he hopes it will bring more health care workers to St. Francis and the region.
“We have difficulty recruiting physicians to this area,” said Thomas Gullatt, St. Francis President. “Our partnership with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine provides residency training programs here on site.”
Gullat added that the program will encourage doctors to practice medicine in Monroe and serve the residents of Northeast Louisiana.
