DULUTH — Police in the East Hillside arrested a 16-year-old boy wanted in Georgia for homicide and other alleged crimes.

The Duluth Police Department said officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress on the 1200 block of East Fourth Street at about 2:40 p.m. Monday.

After the police formed a perimeter, the 16-year-old ran away, and the police ran after him.

He was then arrested "without incident," police said in a news release, but continued to give false names to the police.

On Tuesday, police found the 16-year-old was from Atlanta and had a warrant out for his arrest for homicide, possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, hijacking of a motor vehicle, and theft, the news release said.
