STORRS, CT. (WFSB) - The UConn football team will try to get things right again this Saturday without one of their top players.
Running Back Mel Brown injured his shoulder in last week’s loss against Delaware. He had surgery Tuesday and will miss at least the next six weeks.
The Huskies, sitting at 1-2, were a couple of plays away from being undefeated.
“Thanks Joe, I love your optimism. You know as a coach, you get a little conflicted. Because what you’re saying is so true, a couple of plays, a couple of plays, but if you don’t dive deep into why those couple of plays went the wrong way, and say, next time, we’ll get em next, but for players you have to define what’s it’s going to take to make that play, not just say next time you gotta make it,” said Head Coach Jim Mora.
