Firefighters administered oxygen to the felines after they were rescued from a Colorado house fire on Monday.
South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a morning fire in the garage of the Jefferson County home, with one occupant who safely evacuated telling firefighters that four cats were unaccounted for.
Two cats were rescued and given oxygen as a precaution, and the two others were found unharmed, according to South Metro’s social media post .
The cats were released to the homeowner in the area southwest of Denver.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire was due to improper disposal of smoking materials in the garage. The fire was contained to the garage, and all residents safely evacuated the house.
