CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) -- The Lowcountry has a month-long list of festivities for Hispanic Heritage Month which include music, dance, educational events, and support for immigrant families across the Lowcountry. "We can connect from love, but we can connect also through culture," said Nilsy Rapalo, an advocate for the Hispanic community.
Hispanic heritage celebrations in the Lowcountry will have something for everyone this year. Some events include an environmental cleanup at Lake Moultrie September 20th, Tropical Fiesta in Mount Pleasant September 28th, Latin American Festival October 5th and a Zumba Fiesta at Crunch Fitness October 12th.
