A fire destroyed a garage and damaged a house in Hermon on Tuesday.
It started shortly before 4:30 p.m. and likely originated in the garage, Hermon Fire Chief Cody Sullivan said. There was a car in the garage when the fire started.
It’s too soon to know the cause, he said.
The garage was destroyed and the house sustained heavy damage in parts, Sullivan said. Firefighters were working to salvage belongings, he said.
A homeowner was present when the fire started and sustained minor injuries, Sullivan said.
