Richard Bierschbach, who reportedly is in line to take over as interim president at Wayne State University following the resignation of President Kimberly Espy, has significantly improved the university's law school since joining the faculty, officials at the Detroit institution have said.
Bierschbach is the dean of the Wayne State University Law School. He came to WSU in 2017 and was reappointed to a second term as dean in 2022.
At WSU, he has launched partnerships and programs, and created additional revenue sources via a new law department for non-juris doctor programs, according to information provided by the university.
