HOUSTON (KIAH) — After a heartbreaking loss to Tampa Bay that puts them at 0-2 to start the season, the Houston Texans are beginning the process of soul-searching.

Monday night’s game underscored the main problem with the team so far. The defense played well overall, but made some costly penalties and missed tackles when the game was on the line.

And the offense continued to struggle to make big plays and not protect the quarterback, despite a new offensive line.

Some of the blame for the lack of offense may land on quarterback C.J. Stroud, who had another mediocre effort on Monday. He was 13-of-24 for 207 yards and a touchdown, but was also sacked three times as he faced a lot of pressure from the Buccaneers’ front seven.
