ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - While there’s still plenty of work to do -- the members of the Great Rivers Greenway took a moment to celebrate how much has been accomplished in the past 25 years.

The celebration was called the “Great Gather Round” which brought the wide-range of partners (from cities to landowners) together to celebrate the 135 miles of trails housed under the Greenways umbrella. The organization feels their connection between people and places has been key to creating a connections through areas never designed for trails.

“This is more than an anniversary party — it’s a living demonstration of what GRG has built over the past 25 years: healthier communities, stronger neighborhoods, and a shared regional identity centered around the outdoors,“ the organization says.
