ALBION — Mollie Egold and her family are thanking their community for the support that has helped them begin rebuilding their lives after a devastating accident that killed her twin toddlers this summer.
In July, Egold was walking with her two-and-a-half-year-old twins, Noah and Bradley, when they were struck by a passing vehicle.
“The man came down the road speeding like crazy and plowed right through them,” said Martha Collins, Egold’s aunt. “The babies both went airborne, flew in the air and landed on the ground. Molly went through the man’s mailbox and landed on the driveway. Never should have happened.”
Both twins later died from their injuries. Mollie Egold was life-flighted to Bangor, where she spent more than a month recovering.
