FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio (WOIO) - Pages from books in a free little library were ripped out and thrown across a beach access ramp, Fairport Harbor police confirmed, and officers need help finding the vandal.

The Fairport Harbor Police Department said the community book box at the end of Vine Street near the beach was vandalized sometime between 9 a.m. and noon on Sept. 16.

The vandalism was reported soon in the afternoon, according to FHPD.

The pages of numerous books were torn out and scattered down the beach access ramp, FHPD said, and some of the damaged books were stuffed back into the little library.
