A teacher with Marshall County Schools has been removed from the classroom for allegedly making negative remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

In a statement sent to 1819 News on Tuesday, Superintendent Cidny Wigley said a teacher was under investigation for comments made during class. Neither the name of the teacher nor the school has been released.

“We are looking into a situation regarding comments made by a teacher during class,” Wigley said. “The teacher has been removed from the classroom pending further investigation. At this time, we are not aware of any Marshall County School employee that has posted or stated anything that celebrates the death of Charlie Kirk.”
