DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. - The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office said they are preparing for the possibility of crime heading south as President Trump's "Memphis Safe Task Force" moves into the city.
"The President just announced that he is deploying a federal task force to Memphis to confront the surge in violence and crime. I want to assure every citizen of DeSoto County that your safety is our top priority," said DeSoto County Sheriff Thomas E. Tuggle II. "We are fully prepared to protect our community from any criminal activity that attempts to spill across our county line."
