LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) -- The inaugural West Virginia Off Grid Living Survive & Thrive Expo is coming to the State Fair of West Virginia grounds in October.

The expo will feature experts, products, and businesses related to off grid living, homesteading, and preparedness lifestyles.

Todd Longanarce, founder of the expo, said he feels this expo honors West Virginia and Virginia in the best way possible.

"Our region, our history is rich with the traditions and culture of homesteading and sustainable farming. It's in our blood, it's what we do in this region. Everything from honey bees to making your own cheese. We want to celebrate that and celebrate our culture," said Longanacre.
