INDIANAPOLIS — Gov. Mike Braun is addressing the issue of redistricting and talking about what he's waiting on before he makes a decision on a special session.

The governor told reporters Tuesday at the Indiana Statehouse that he wouldn't call a special session to redraw the state's congressional districts unless he knew the outcome would be successful.

Braun went on to say that if he were to call a special session, the session could happen anytime between early November through the very earliest part of the legislative session in January 2026.

The governor characterized the process of Indiana Republican lawmakers coming to a decision about a special session as one that's moving.
