Steven Tyler is expected to join Joe Perry on stage as a surprise performer during The Joe Perry Project’s opening set for The Who’s farewell show at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, a source close to the tour tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Tyler will come out as a special guest, the source says, and he’s expected to play three songs with Perry.

Performances from the “Toxic Twins” have become a rarity since Aerosmith announced they were retiring from the road last year, canceling the remainder of their farewell tour over an injury to Tyler’s vocal chords. Still, they’ve managed to reunite several times since then, both at a benefit show for Janie’s Fund back in May, and during the VMAs last week, joined by Yungblud as they paid homage to the late Ozzy Osbourne.
