Hundreds of New York City families could end up homeless as a result of cuts included in President Donald Trump’s new spending plan, according to a new report by the homeless shelter nonprofit, Win.

The ways in which the city can prepare for federal funding cuts to rental assistance programs and public housing were the focus of a City Council hearing Monday — a hearing the Adams administration skipped.

Former City Council Speaker and current president and CEO of Win Christine Quinn joined “Inside City Hall” to discuss the potential impact of the cuts.

“It will have massive, terrible results. And what we have to do in response to that is continue to fight the budget proposals, and we have to support our elected officials who are doing that,” Quinn said.
