Lil Nas X was not present for a pre-trial hearing because he has entered an inpatient treatment program, according to Rolling Stone . The attorneys for the singer and songwriter appeared at a Van Nuys court hearing on Monday on his behalf.

The Grammy award winner, whose real name is Montero Hill, faces felony charges after police allege that the singer/songwriter assaulted them on August 21. Prosecutors claim Hill was strolling naked” along Ventura Boulevard around 5:40 a.m. when police arrived at the scene.

Hill was charged with three felony counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer. If convicted, the singer/songwriter could face up to ten years in prison.
