NORMAN — Jaren Kanak was unsure how significant his role would be within OU football’s offense this season.

When he informed coach Brent Venables of his decision to switch positions to tight end this past offseason, all Kanak had in mind was helping the team. Ahead of each game, Kanak has no idea how much he’ll be featured by offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle, but he stays ready.
