DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Muscatine man was sentenced to 58 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon.
In May of 2024, Robert Owen Knapp, III, 33, ran from officers with a pistol while trying to avoid a traffic stop, according to court documents. Knapp was caught with a pistol in his hand. At that time, Knapp was on federal supervised release for a 2017 conviction for conspiracy to distribute meth.
After completing his prison sentence, Knapp will be required to serve a four-year-term of supervised release.
Knapp’s supervised release for his prior federal conviction was revoked and the court sentenced him to nine months in prison, consecutive to the 58 month sentence.
