DEFOREST, Wis. -- Alicia Williams will replace Bill Landgraf on the DeForest Village Board.
Williams received 1,884 votes while Landgraf garnered 260. Stacey Petersen received 256 votes.
Landgraf first received criticism after he and Green Bay anti-fluoride activist Brenda Staudenmaier successfully pushed to have fluoride removed from the village's drinking water.
However, community members began working to recall Landgraf after they said he intimidated and harassed them in the wake of the fluoride vote. Over 1,500 DeForest residents signed a recall petition.
Landgraf has said the claims of harassment and intimidation are false and politically motivated.
