Tonight’s special edition of WWE NXT, titled Homecoming, aired live on The CW and marked a return to Full Sail University—NXT’s original home. The show opened with a nice video package of NXT’s history including many of today’s stars who are on the main roster that made their WWE debut here.

Full Sail University served as the home base for WWE NXT from 2012 until 2020. During this period, NXT evolved from a developmental territory into a globally recognized brand. Full Sail allowed for close interaction between fans and performers, helping cultivate a passionate fan base. Many of WWE’s current top stars—including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss started their WWE career in this venue.
