14 people displaced following Springfield fire

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Over a dozen people have been displaced following a fire in Springfield.

Springfield Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi said that crews were called to 37 Ainsworth Street shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported. Fourteen people have been displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.

Investigators have determined that the fire started on a second floor porch, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
