MACON, Ga. — Macon's local animal capture expert was put to the test once again last week.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said Deputy Rebecca Galeazzo reported to a west Macon Burger King on Friday to safely remove a rattlesnake from the playground.
Based on posts from the sheriff's office, Galeazzo, the county's Animal Enforcement Officer, alongside fellow Animal Enforcement Officer Leann Strickland, removed a timber rattlesnake from the restaurant's playground.
The sheriff's office said that the snake was initially seen moving across the parking lot and slithered into the playground. They said Burger King staff blocked off the playground after the snake slithered and hid under the play equipment.
Galeazzo was eventually called in to the restaurant located near Eisenhower Parkway
