The First Nations Leadership Council is calling on the province to consult with them before handing out land tenures.
The American-based National Outdoor Learning School has applied to the province for 77 leases of Crown land.
The American non-profit has been offering education in the wild since 1965, including courses along B.C.’s coast for the past three decades.

Its latest offering is a kayaking trip with a group of 10 participants paddling their way up from Washington state to Alaska from May to August next year.
