ASHBURN, Va. — Girls flag football teams from Battlefield, Brentsville, Gar-Field, and Osbourn Park made history on Tuesday, playing their first-ever games in program history.
These four teams got to play their inaugural games at the BigBear.ai Performance Center.
Some special guests included honorary coaches like former Washington players like running back Brian Mitchell and wide receiver Santana Moss. Head Coach Dan Quinn also made an appearance to support the teams.
Moss told us his daughter plays flag football too, and it's been neat to see the sport grow.
"Flag football has taken this world by storm," he said excitedly.
Brentsville won the opening game against Battlefield. Head Coach Eugene Baltimore was ecstatic about the opportunity to play at the Commanders facility.
"This is
