The National Anti-Corruption Commission requires more time to complete its robodebt investigations and will spend an extra $680,000 to help finish the work.
The watchdog has extended the contracts for the two independent consultants who are assisting its investigation into the six referrals it received from the robodebt royal commission, documents published to Austender show.
The commission confirmed in February it would investigate all six individuals, after an independent review overturned its original decision not to act on the referrals.
It hired Geoffrey Nettle and Gary Hevey to provide independent advice over the course of its robodebt investigations at a combined cost of $1,214,800 .
The figure has now risen to $1,894,800, as the watchdog extends the contracts by two months
