GREENE TOWNSHIP, Mercer Co, Pa - Crews from Crawford and Mercer counties battled a large fire at a recycling center in Mercer County.

The fire happened around 4 p.m. at Kanect Recycling Center on E. Jamestown Road in Greene Township.

Greenville, Jamestown and Summit Township firefighters were all called to battle the blaze.

Summit Township shuttled in water and helped with suppressing the flames.

It's unclear how the fire started or how much damage was caused to the business, but Kanect Recycling posted on its Facebook page that the Greenville location is temporarily closed.
