HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) - The Hiawatha City Council has approved a $14 million dollar development project with Igram Family, LLC, to address the community’s housing needs.
The development plan includes 48 townhome units, commercial properties, an extension of Parsons Drive, and a mixed-use building featuring commercial space on the first floor with housing on upper floors.
The project will be located at N Center Point Road in Hiawatha. It is designed to meet the city’s urgent housing needs and further its strategic goal of creating a walkable Village Center.
“The approval of Igram Village is a monumental step forward for Hiawatha,” stated Mayor Steve Dodson. “This project is not just about adding housing units; it’s about strengthening our community, attracting and retaining talentand bui
