Tasmanian parliament would appear likely to approve the construction of the Macquarie Point Stadium for the Devils AFL team, but a report from the Tasmanian Planning Commission (TPC) exposes just how rosy the projections used by the league and government may have been.

The independent panel’s report, released on Wednesday morning, makes a clear recommendation to not build the stadium. This is not a binding recommendation.
