ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
The major reconstruction of Interstate 25 just north of the Big I continues with new twists and turns for drivers to navigate.
As of this week, eastbound lanes of Montano and Montgomery shift left between Culture and Carlisle, with eastbound traffic reduced to three lanes — two for through traffic and one left turn lane onto northbound I-25. This will allow construction of a new roadway and storm drain system to begin, and the work is expected to last through March.
There are other lane changes happening on the northbound Frontage Road between Leucking Park and Montgomery. These also involve installation of storm drains and are expected to last about two weeks.
