Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story put himself in rare company on Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

The 32-year-old infielder successfully stole two bases in Boston’s 2-1 loss to the A’s — making him a perfect 30-for-30 on stolen-base attempts so far this year.

According to the Red Sox, Story is just the fourth player since MLB’s expansion era (1961) to go a perfect 30-for-30 on swiped bags to open a season — joining a group that includes Trea Turner (2023), Carl Crawford (2009), and Vince Coleman (1989).
