LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Vigils are being held across the country, including here in Laredo , following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated during an event in Utah .

From Madison Square Garden in New York to the state capitol of California, many people across the nation are holding vigils in the days leading up to Kirk’s funeral, which is scheduled for Sunday, September 21.

In Laredo, community members gathered to share their reactions and opinions about the assassination of Kirk.
