CLEVELAND — Cool and dry weather from August has remained the norm through the first half of September. That pattern has really locked in and held on tight. Temperatures have only really rebounded as we’ve gotten into the middle of the month. And there's still no real rain to speak of.

The lack of rain has been rough for the last month and a half. August was 1.64 inches below average. Incredibly dry conditions have continued. Hopkins has only had one day with over a trace of rainfall for September. Sept. 4 recorded a whopping .23 inches and that’s all we’ve gotten. Other locations haven’t fared much better. Akron-Canton has only received .1 inches and Mansfield has only had .03 inches.
